Weekly update 53

Today at 3:30 I give my exit seminar, and I'm pretty excited. I still have some work to do on my dissertation, so it will be another month or more before I defend. Between now and then I need to write a paper, resubmit a paper, submit a paper for the first time, put my dissertation in the UTK standard acceptable format, sign some forms, etc, etc. But today it feels like a downhill battle (that's a good thing, right?).
