Weekly update 40

Well, I've pretty much given up on finding a way to quantify what makes some areas likely to get big reductions in impacts for little cost and others not. As an alternative, I am going to qualify that.
Other than that, I'm now concentrating on doing some easy stats to describe results of my third chapter. I am excited, because I can really see the manuscript rounding out nicely. I still need to do a few more drafts and write the SI, not to mention replacing all my results when the latest set of runs completes, but the manuscript is really taking shape. Now, if I could just avoid writing a manuscript altogether...
I havent put up a figure in a while, so here's this cool result. It shows how much each impact metric contributes to reductions in the Impact Score across my layouts and sites. I could explain why it looks this way, but for that you'll either have to read the paper or ask me. I will say that the reason wetlands_encroachment is negative is that, you guessed it, on average it got worse as you reduced impacts overall.
