Weekly update 17

Two good(ish) things happened to me this week. First, I submitted my second chapter as a manuscript to Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment. It came out to a daunting 2920 words if you dont count all the other words not in the main text. It has 2 Panels in the FEE style, and I am actually quite happy with how they look. Am I allowed to show that on my personal website before it's published (i.e. rejected)?

The other goodish thing that happened is I got reviews back for my first chapter. They are something like rejection with invitation to resubmit, but much closer to major revisions in a normal manuscript that the last round of reviews was. I have until May 31 to finish the reviews. I've gotten as far as making a plan for how I'm going to completely scrap most of the manuscript and re-work it. I havent actually started that arduous task yet. I know what my next several weeks will be!
