Weekly update 43

I've been working on a policy recommendation for my third chapter, a way to wrap up my results and go "Hey, you could actually use this for something useful." To that end I've been sitting and thinking a lot, and I've spent a couple hours this week meeting with Chris Clark of Ag Econ and Matt McMahon of Econ here at UTK. I'm actually excited for once to throw ideas around with other researchers and maybe come up with something cool for shale gas development. The even more exciting thing is to do an analysis with different policies or regulations to see how they might do if implemented. It's the closest I've come to using my research results to directly affect conservation practice!
